The Panasonic HIT (Heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer) solar cell is made of a thin mono crystalline silicon wafer surrounded by ultra-thin amorphous silicon layers. This product provides the industry‘s leading performance and value using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques. The advantage of Panasonic HIT solar cells compared with conventional crystalline silicon solar cells is that they are more efficient. This is because they reduce the losses that occur due to inhomogeneous crystal structures on the surface of the Panasonic solar cell. Even at high temperatures, HIT solar cells can maintain higher efficiency than conventional crystalline silicon solar cells. The HIT modules deliver higher output power on a given roof area than conventional modules. They enable time, space and material-saving installation whilst achieving maximum output power.
